Pediatric OTs create individualized goals based on the child's needs and the family's priorities and lifestyle. So here I work a lot on things like sensory input, so whether it's like bouncing on the exercise ball or swinging, getting some sensory input in to help with the attention for the session.
We could do things like play a game and work on bilateral coordination, fine motor skills, using something motivating and fun to get the child to work on the skills that they need to work on and using a lot of play just to get the child motivated to engage in therapy.
