SPD refers to a childs difficulty organizing and responding to input they receive through the senses. Some kids may be oversensitive while others may by undersensitive and/or both. Difficulties in this area of communication can impact everyday life and their ability to learn.

Sensory Processing Disorder

✔ Easily overwhelmed by people and/or places
✔ Startled by loud and/or sudden noises
✔ Avoids touch or hugs
✔ Has sensitivity to different textures
✔ Refuses to eat new food and has a limited diet
✔ Squirms or fidgets
✔ Invades others personal space
✔ Feels anxious
✔ Can by clumsy
✔ Refuses to wear itchy clothing
✔ Dislikes being wet
