Lauren has worked as an occupational therapist in a variety of settings including private practice, home-based early intervention and within a hospital-based outpatient clinic. She has experience working with children of all ages and abilities both individually and within small groups. Lauren is also a certified PLAY Project consultant, offering PLAY Project services for young children with autism and their families. In addition, she is versed in the areas of sensory integration and sensory processing, reflex integration and sensory approaches to feeding. She uses the Learning Without Tears program for prewriting and writing concerns and works to find the underlying issues that often accompany handwriting difficulties. Lauren loves building strong relationships with her clients and their caregivers and believes that these relationships are paramount to establishing and achieving goals.
Lauren completed her undergraduate work at Alma College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Health Science with a minor in Psychology. Following graduation, she attended Washington University in St. Louis where she earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), licensed in the State of Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association.
