Lisa co-founded Small Talk to create a warm and functional speech and language treatment experience for both children and their families. Lisa collaborates with parents, classroom teachers, psychologists, and physical and occupational therapists to develop individualized treatment programs to maximize carry-over to other settings.
Lisa spent over 18 years in a hospital based setting for Childhood Speech and Language Disorders where she developed and managed social skill groups for children of all ages and abilities, and served as coordinator for their specialized preschool program for speech and language impaired children. Her practice now includes treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, severe receptive and expressive language delays, articulation, apraxia, fluency and oral-motor difficulties.
Lisa is a licensed speech and language pathologist certified by both the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and the Michigan Speech-Language Hearing Association. She earned her B.A. at Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University.
Lisa lives in Huntington Woods, Michigan with her husband and three children.
