Nicole graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State University and earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. After graduating, she worked in Washington, D.C., gaining extensive experience in public charter schools, Early Intervention, and private clinic settings. She returned to Michigan to be closer to family after the birth of her son and received experience in a hospital-based setting.
Nicole has training in sensory processing treatment, including use of the DIR-Floortime model, Astronaut Training, and Integrated Listening Systems (iLs). Furthermore, she enjoys working with children on sensory and oral motor feeding (Sequential Oral Sensory and Beckman Oral Motor approaches), apraxia, developmental coordination, visual motor/perception skills, and strengthening. Her treatment style encourages child-directed play and collaboration with caregivers and other support staff to maximize the potential of each child.
Nicole lives in Beverly Hills with her husband and two children. She enjoys yoga, reading, and cooking in her spare time. Feel free to reach out to nicole@smalltalkmi.com with any questions you may have.
